Yeredon Group's story

Yacouba is featured in the photograph holding the sheep by the horns with his hand on his back. He is Malian,42 years old, and a farmer. Yacouba did not have a chance to go to school, however he is now married and the father of 6 children between the ages of 8 and 11.

Yacouba is a client of RMCR. In addition to farming, Yacouba cares for livestock and sometimes works in other sectors such as husking rice. He has bought a rice husker with the help of his last loan.

Because his financial means are so small, Yacouba depends on RMCR for loans. He gets his supplies on the local market and sells his animals in urban markets. With the profits from his sales, he faces the schooling of his children and some priority need of his family. He feels comfortable in the exercise of this profession given his profitability he does well because he loves his job.

Yacouba has not yet been confronted with serious animal health problems or cases of unknown diseases. His dream is to become an exporter of animals in the future to better support family needs to better prepare for the future of his children.
