Salim's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to pay for a laptop required for a US college degree.

Salim's story

Salim is a 19-year-old in his first year at Kepler. He grew up in the country, the third of seven children. He was raised by both parents, and his primary and secondary education were supported by his father. Salim was motivated to enroll in university by his older sisters, who have benefited from receiving a university education. One sister in particular, also a Kepler student, pointed out to him the many advantages of attending Kepler.

Salim decided on Kepler because it allows him to pursue an American-accredited degree and makes it possible to do so without having to leave his country. He was attracted also by its reputation for providing a good education and graduating students with high professional standards. Salim is a quick learner and he adapts himself easily.

At Kepler, he plans to pursue a Bachelor of Arts in communications with a concentration in business. After graduation, he hopes to go on to a career as a marketing consultant. In this capacity, he will have the means to help support his family members in acquiring their own useful skills. He would also like to instruct the population about own-job creations as a means of fighting poverty and unemployment.
