Moisés's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a tropical greenhouse and drip irrigation system to produce good quality vegetables all year long, which he can sell to increase income for his family.

Moisés's story

Moisés is a 49-year-old Mozambican man who lives in Manhiça, a district within Maputo province. Moisés is married and lives with his wife and their three lovely children.

Moisés is a humble and very hardworking man. He is really passionate about agriculture. Together with his family, Moisés produces a variety of crops, mainly vegetables such as tomato, green pepper, cucumber, cabbage and lettuce. Moisés sells his produce in Zimpeto Market, a huge vegetable market in Maputo city.

Thanks to this activity, Moisés can provide food and also a regular income to his family. However, due to irregular rains, vegetable production is negatively affected and there is a reduced quantity of crops to sell in the market, along with income for his family.

To overcome this situation, Moisés is requesting a Kiva loan to buy a tropical greenhouse and a drip irrigation system to produce good quality vegetables the whole year that can be sold to increase the income for his family.
