Bokra Ahla Group's story
Fatima is a 53-year-old Syrian refugee who escaped the war in their hometown a year ago and has resided in Lebanon since then. She is a mother of seven children and also the featured borrower of Bokra Ahla Group. She is running her home-based sewing business to help her husband cover their big family’s increasing expenses. Recently, Fatima got along with Ghofran to acquire a refugee group loan product from Kiva’s field partner Al Majmoua to pay for her residency permit fees and for her daughter's papers. The hardworking woman hopes to be capable of covering all her seven children needs and developing her business. Fatima is the lady on the left side of the picture and Ghofran is on the right side.
