Determiners Group's story
Samuel G. is the leader of the group of five borrowers called Determiners. He married and has 4 children who are 5, 7, 10 and 14 years old. In addition to his children, Samuel supports three siblings. For 5 years, Samuel has been running a drugstore on Cooper Road, which is located just south of downtown Monrovia on Cooper Road. He says that he provides his medicine at a reasonable price, which keeps customers returning. Samuel plans to use his 12,000 Liberian dollar portion of this 60,000 Liberian dollar group loan to purchase additional medicine. His goal is to expand his business and, most importantly, to help support his family. In the photo that accompanies this profile, Samuel is the one holding the sign. Dorothy K. is inset at the lower left of the photo.
