Wigens's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped replenish inventory of production tools/equipment, advance our company branding; adding distribution deals, and cover short-term working capital.

Wigens's story

After seeing my Dad move from Haiti to Brooklyn to create a better life for his 12 kids and watch my whole family struggle as a unit trying to make ends meet every single day, I wanted to break the poverty cycle. Growing up in Brooklyn with a big family was tough as a child because it forced me to become an adult at an early age. Seeing what my father went through to provide a better life for us made me want to go above and beyond to find multiple ways to create a better life for my family. Growing up in Brooklyn was traumatic and stressful because it was so much pressure in the environment. Almost everybody was on a survival mode. This type of environment creates lots of crime and animosity towards each other. I came from nothing and I know how it is to not have a single dime to my name, because of this I have been trying to change my life and those around me for the better. After working and studying the music industry for over 7 years, I noticed that there was a lot of talented individuals around us. They just needed an opportunity to make a difference. So I started my owned independent Record Label company. It's been extremely challenging to grow the business due to lack of capital. Receiving this loan will allow the business to grow tremendously by replenishing our production equipment, build our own studio, advance our company branding; and cover short-term working capital. I plan to use the loan in the following ways:$5,000 for key production equipment and power tools; $2,500 for rebranding our company materials such as; merchandise, website, engineering, professional producers, and social media platforms; $1,500 for a laptop; $1,000 for advertising and marketing promotion.
