Mukhambet's story

Mukhambet is a 62 year old, married man with one son.

Mukhambet has a secondary education and he works as a teacher at the local school. He is also involved in animal husbandry for a supplemental income.

Starting in 1989 and thanks to the hard work and the help of his wife with the farm, he now has 2 cows, 1 horse and a 2.28 ha plot of land on which he grows beans.

In order to further develop his farm, Mukhambet has asked for a 50,000KGS loan from Bai Tushum bank to buy seeds and fertiliser to increase his harvest of environmentally friendly beans.

The proceeds of the loan will help Mukhambet to increase the heads of livestock and to improve his family's standard of living.
