Rafia's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy more raw materials, especially groundnuts, to produce more of the oil and K.K.Z. (peanut powder).

Rafia's story

Rafia is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her parents in the Karaga district in Ghana. She runs her own business selling groundnut oil and K.K.Z. (peanut powder).

With her first Kiva loan, Rafia was able to launch her business selling groundnut oil. She used the profit she earned to support her siblings with school fees.

Rafia is requesting another loan to buy more raw materials, especially groundnuts, to produce more of the oil and K.K.Z. She plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and support her family's basic needs.

Rafia will repay the ‘social interest’ on this loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a CAMFED Peer Educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship.
