Hindu's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy new varieties of groceries to meet customer demand and increase her profit margin.

Hindu's story

Hindu is a 31-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and three children in the Karaga district in Ghana. She runs her own grocery store. With her first Kiva loan, Hindu was able to launch her business selling groceries. She used the profit she earned to support her siblings and children with school fees.

Hindu is requesting another loan to buy new varieties of groceries to meet customer demand and increase her profit margin. She plans to use the profit she earns to further her education and support her family's basic needs.

Hindu will repay the social interest on her second loan by volunteering two-and-a-half hours per week as a Camfed peer educator, leading life skills sessions for students in local schools on topics such as rights and choices, choosing a career path, and active citizenship.
