Julia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped fund marketing efforts, provide a down payment for a co-working space, and boost advertising for the location where clients can find me for professional tax services.
My family are from Haiti and I'm a first generation American. In Haiti and in the States, my grandmother was an entrepreneur making wedding cakes, making custom clothing. My uncle owns multiple dry cleaners. Many of my family members had careers and a side job of doing what they enjoy in the United States as well. But they all had one thing in common that stuck with me and that was finding a way to serve others in the spirit of entrepreneurship. I had the experience of leaving New York for ten years where I would have been fortunate to work for KPMG and Deloitte in various areas of the tax practice. However, as the years grew I found myself drawn to serving the immigrants in my community as my parents were immigrants. On my time off from work, I would always provide counsel regarding taxes. Many hard working class couldn't understand the tax laws and why they are impacted and how to financially figure out how to get out of the liability or reduce it. I decided I would return to New York to start my business. Thus in 2019, I launched my forward-thinking venture LEAN OFF TAXES, LLC. Today, I managed to launch my practice from home. I had both virtual clients and clients who came to my home looking for dialogue on taxes, budgeting, and financial inquiries. My dream is to have an office space where clients can be served and educated to enable them to make better decisions.
