Awa's Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some palm oil and "nététou".

Awa's Group's story

This group consists of 21 women who all live in the same village. Their main activity is small retail business and market gardening. Siring, the group's representative, is a 65-year-old widow with five children under her care. In the photo, she is the woman standing with her hand raised. She makes a living selling palm oil and "nététou" [a.k.a. sumbala, a condiment widely used in West Africa].

She plans to use her new loan to buy a few cans of oil and some nététou in order to replenish her stocks of goods. She will use her profits to feed her children and cover their school fees.
