Mt Sinai Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to extend her fowl run in order for it to carry more birds as well as buy sewing materials in bulk.

Mt Sinai Group's story

Patience is a 29-year-old lady who works in the poultry business. She is a widow who resides in a developing suburb in Harare with her three children. Two of her children are going to school. Patience has been in the poultry business for a year now. She also does tailoring, specializing in making African attires. Patience has gained customer loyalty due to the production of good-quality clothes. She joined her three business friends and formed "Mt Sinai Group" in order to access Thrive Microfinance loans. The ladies attended financial training sessions offered by Thrive, and this helped them to make informed borrowing decisions. They were also taught the importance of record keeping in their business operations. Mt Sinai Group received a combined loan from which Patience used her portion to extend her fowl run in order for it to carry more birds. This will enable her to increase the number of broiler chickens that she keeps. She also bought sewing material in bulk for her tailoring business.
