Kyakaboyo Kweimukya Group's story

Lucy is seeking financial support to buy more stock of items like sugar, books, salt, soap, cooking oil, and other items to sell. Lucy is a hardworking widowed mother of four children, two of whom are attending school in Kyenjojo, Uganda. She owns a small retail shop that she operates daily, selling items like soap, sugar, salt, baked food, tomatoes, and other items to her customers.

Lucy is very innovative in that she also grows bananas and sells them to supplement her income. She says that bad debtors, price fluctuation, and poor roads to the shopping area are challenges in her business, but she hopes to expand into a wholesale business. Lucy is thankful to Kiva and HOFOKAM, for she has managed to educate her daughter who is now a nurse. She is an active member of Kyakaboyo Kweimukya Group.
