Wilmer Alexander's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy palm fruit and 10 bags of fertiliser, and to pay his workers who help cultivate the land.

Wilmer Alexander's story

Wilmer, 25 years old, is in a civil union relationship and has a son. He lives with his family in a community in Tela, Atlántida, and used to work as a day labourer (daily work cutting corn). Six years ago, he began producing African palms on agricultural land for crops. He sells his produce at the local market or in the mountains.

Wilmer is requesting his first loan of 20,000 Honduran Lempiras from the organisation. He will use this to buy palm fruit and 10 bags of fertiliser to maintain his plantation. He will also use the loan to pay labourers to help work the land. Wilmer hopes that this loan will allow him to produce better palms and increase his profits. His dream is for his business to stay stable so that he can use the profits to start a new fish tank business.
