Western Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support
A loan helped to use ACE1 to gain access to electricity, to save money spent on fuel to pay for children school fees.
Western Group's story
Ntsoaki is a 32 year old woman who lives in separated huts without access to electricity with 5 other family members including 2 children. Ntsoaki works as a community helper at the clinic but struggles with school fees. She spends most of her energy expenses on paraffin and gas, which costs up to LSL 285 per month. She also spends as much as 2 hours per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging. Ntsoaki and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstoves to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. Ntsoaki would like to save the money she uses on fuel to warm up the house and to cook. She says she is not used to the inconvenience of living in an area without electricity. She says the ACE 1 will help make her feel more comfortable and save money as well. The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered.
