Fruits Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to use the ACE 1 cookstove to gain access to solar electricity to save money spent on fuel to maintain the house.

Fruits Group's story

Mathabiso is a 58-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with seven other family members including two children. She works as a nurse but struggles with buying furniture. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on gas and electricity, which costs up to 600 LSL per month. She also spends as much as one hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mathabiso and the other members of the group in this village each bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. She has four children and an unemployed husband depending on her for all their expenses including school fees and high costly energy expenses restricting her from saving money, but now that she has the ACE 1 cookstove she is going to be able to save money for maintaining her house.

The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
