Paul's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizer for his farm to boost crop production.

Paul's story

Paul is an old client of UGAFODE Microfinance. He is married with children who attend school. His main business is agriculture, mostly banana growing. He works for seven hours a day and six days in a week because bananas need extra attention to realise good yields. On harvest, he supplies the bananas to food markets in the region.

While awaiting harvest, Paul buys bananas from local farmers at relatively low prices and then sells at a slightly higher price for a profit. This enables him to take care of his family throughout the year.

In a bid to improve the quality and quantity of his yields, Paul has applied for a loan of 1,500,000 UGX from UGAFODE to buy fertilizer for his farm. He is confident that he will harvest good yields, which will attract competitive prices, thus realising a huge profit. Paul appreciates the lenders for the financial support that will improve his farming.
