Benkadi Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some animals for resale so as to pay for his children's education.

Benkadi Group's story

In the photo, Alou is holding the ram's horn. Alou is a bovine and ovine rearer and is 37 years old. He is married and has five children aged between 1 and 12, three of which go to school. Alou did not have the chance to learn to read and write but he cares about his children's schooling. His wife looks after the household.
Alou stocks up and sells his animals in the local weekly fairs.
After his three-monthly sales, he can have 100.000 CFA in profits which vary according to the rotation of sales. He has being doing this for eight years. His income allows him to take care of the medical costs, clothing and schooling for his children. He loves his work because it is beneficial for him.
However, he is often subjected to the risks associated with the business such as death of the animals, despite veterinary care or the drop in prices at the market.
Alou is counting on the loan from RMCR to improve his business and to make a change to his family living conditions.
