Cristo Viene 1 Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy merchandise to stock her convenience store business such as rice, sugar, beans, charcoal, flour, sausage, and gasoline.

Cristo Viene 1 Group's story

Raquel is a young woman who lives in the Romana province. Although Romana is a very touristic province, there are many poor communities like the sugar refineries, where people live in extreme poverty, the majority being immigrant Haitians.

Raquel is a strong young woman. She is the mother of four children. She has a business selling juices, but over time this business doesn't generate many earnings so she decided to open a stocked convenience store where she sells candy, cookies, rice, sugar, beans, charcoal, flour, sausage, and gasoline. She has had this business for 10 years and has been able to help support her family and buy things for her home. Raquel has always lived in poverty and couldn't finish school, but this has not impeded her from working and helping her family.

Raquel says the greatest challenge for her business is when the sugar harvest closes because the prices lower a lot.

Raquel dreams of one day having her own home and being able to provide an education to her children.

Raquel needs a loan in order to buy merchandise to stock her business and continue generating income.
