A loan helped to buy flour, cooking oil, fish and firewood to make fish and chips to sell.

Serah's story

Serah is 35 years old and she is married with four children. They live in a community in Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.

She runs a small business selling fish and chips in her community and at the market to earn a living. She has been doing this for five years.

Serah has requested a loan to pay for additional flour, cooking oil, fish and firewood to make more fish and chips to sell and assist her in maintaining her business.

She joined SPBD in 2013 to gain access to financial services.

With her earnings, Serah will meet her family's daily expenses and improve her business.
