Joyce's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy farming inputs such as certified seeds and nutrient-rich fertilizers to help a hardworking widow to improve her farm and hence improve her income.

Joyce's story

Joyce is a hardworking widow who has gained a lot of respect in her village because of how she supports her family. She lives in Litein with her four children. Here you will find a lot of small farmers who work on their land and raise animals. Unfortunately, these farmers face many challenges, including the high costs of farm inputs.

In Kenya, agriculture is one of the most competitive industries, especially due to the high costs of operations necessary to improve farming. Such costs include the cost of land acquisition and inputs which have always skyrocketed. To meet the high costs of inputs, farmers have been forced to borrow from financial institutions which sometimes impose very complicated procedures in loan distribution. Some farmers and especially women end up in hopelessness, despondency and lack the morale to invest in agriculture.

Joyce requested a loan that she will use to buy farm inputs such as certified seeds and high quality fertilizers to improve her yields and generate more income to improve the quality of life for her family. The loan will enable her to improve her production through the use of quality farm inputs.

This intervention will help her fill the increasing demand for food in the market and in the process, generate more income to repay the loan debt and elevate the quality of life for her family. Joyce hopes for your unselfish support and is very thankful in advance.
