Pholohang Lefifing Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy an ACE 1 cookstove, to save money spent on fuel and gain access to electricity for extra lighting at night and for charging a mobile device.

Pholohang Lefifing Group's story

Mat'seliso is a 61-year-old single mother who lives in a multi-bedroom house, without access to electricity, with two other family members, including one child. Mat'seliso works as a preschool teacher but struggles with buying groceries for her family.

She spends the largest amount of her energy expenses on paraffin and cooking gas, which costs up to LSL 250 per month. She also spends as much as 5 hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs, such as phone charging.

Mat'seliso and the group in this village bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cookstove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
