Elika's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to start her own business of selling dagaa (small fish) and farming.

Elika's story

Elika is a 22-year-old entrepreneur who lives with her husband and her child in the Kilolo District of Tanzania. She is requesting a Kiva loan to start her own business of selling dagaa (small fish) and farming. Elika plans to use the profit she earns to support children with disabilities in her community.

She will repay the ‘social interest’ on her loan by volunteering two and a half hours per week as a Camfed Transition Guide, supporting other young women who are just entering Camfed’s alumnae organization, Cama, by delivering an orientation course with weekly sessions on topics including health, financial literacy, and career guidance.
