Yabetsa Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped buy an ACE1 cookstove to gain access to solar energy electricity and to save money spent on fuel so she will be able to pay for her children's school fees.

Yabetsa Group's story

Mahlakola is a 43-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with 4 other family members including 2 children.

Mahlakola is unemployed but earns a living by doing laundry for money and struggles with school fees. She spends the most amount of her energy budget on electricity, gas and paraffin which costs up to LSL 650 per month. She also spends as much as 2 hours per day, gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Mahlakola and the group in this village bought ACE 1 cookstoves to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar energy for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE 1 clean cook-stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy
