Th_Fogny 2 Ndeye Astou Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy chicks for poultry breeding and fresh fish for resale.

Th_Fogny 2 Ndeye Astou Group's story

This group is composed of three women who formed their own banc villageois in April 2010. They live in the same neighborhood and are very close friends. Together they have reimbursed several loans without difficulty. They all work primarily with livestock and small commerce.

Madam Ndéye Astou is 35 years old and is the group representative. She can be found to the left in the photograph, with her hand raised. She is married and the mother of three children, including one son.

Madam Ndéye Astou works in aviculture (poultry breeding) and she also sells fresh fish. She purchases her merchandise at the closest central market of her city and sells from home. She has nine years of experience in these two sectors.

Madam Ndéye Astou plans to use her share of this loan to purchase 200 chicks, poultry feed (for all stages of life), and vaccines, as well as cases of fresh fish, which she will sell at a profit. Because she is the only one in her neighborhood who practices aviculture, her business does quite well.

The proceeds from her sales will to increase her savings at the banc villageois and will also help her cover family expenses.
