Lali's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase furniture for this teacher's newly opening hotel to make it popular for tourists.

Lali's story

Lali is a 63-year-old teacher, who lives in a rural town in Becho, Mestia. Her community is very small, and the main industry is tourism. Lali lives with her sister.

In the region, there is high unemployment, but self-employment helps inhabitants to make a living. So Lali decided to start a hostel; however, local credit providers usually demand experience and some stable income from borrowers. Lali has already renovated the building and now plans to purchase all the needed furniture for opening a hostel that will be popular with tourists, especially during the season.

She is a very enthusiastic and hardworking person with a great desire to create better living conditions for her family. This loan will be a great support for them. Lali is thankful to Kiva lenders for giving her a chance to generate income.
