Dawn & Craig's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped obtain nutrition fact panel testing to finalize our product labeling and develop the website for our healthy snack food.
Dawn & Craig's story
I am a wife and homeschool mom to our three elementary-aged kids, as well as a cancer survivor with a passion for feeding people. When I did my five-year post-surgery scan in November 2018, we were so grateful that it was clear and I was declared healed! However, the scan came with a hefty price-tag, even after insurance. So I decided to try and sell a few of our family-favorite homemade healthy snacks to help pay a little towards the bill. What I didn’t expect was that I would sell enough snacks to friends, family, and a network on social media, to pay the bill IN FULL within a months time! Even after the bill was paid, I continued to get requests for our snacks that family and friends were familiar with me making. Several of my customers have asked for special requests, helping us to expand the flavors of products we offer now! We were accepted into and recently completed the Kitchen 66 Launch Program which helped us to get all our licensing, legal, financial and branding affairs in order. Our products are starting to be carried in local grocery retail outlets and we are participating in events around the Tulsa area. Demand for our snacks is continuing to increase, as we are now getting weekly requests to wholesale, ship, and to carry our products in other local grocery stores/markets. We are excited to provide a locally-made product that is healthy and fresh and would like to add the element of convenience for our customers. Our purpose is to feed people hope and give them joy through our snacks. Ultimately, we have a heart to provide support for those in need and want to give back, especially to moms battling cancer.
