Danny Edith's story

Danny Edith is 58 years of age. She is in a common law relationship, and has five adult children. Her husband works in construction. They live in a relative's house in Manta, a city with a good hotel infrastructure, restaurants, and the scenic "malecón" [promenade] on the El Murciélago beach, where many local and foreign tourists go, to enjoy artistic and cultural festivals.

Danny is a hardworking woman, very dedicated to her family, and that is why every day she seeks the means to generate income to be able to support her husband with household expenses. What he earns with his work is not sufficient to cover certain necessities. Therefore, for three years, Danny has had a store in her house where she sells assorted products such as rice, oil, vegetables, sugar, and other items that could meet the needs of her clients. This loan is of much help because it will permit her to continue with her business, and at the same time, to improve her quality of life.

She will use this loan to stock her store, buying meat, chicken, salt, tuna, juices, water, and other products. Her dreams are to have her own house and that her store will continue growing.
