Victoria's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to obtain a wholesale fiber equipment to teach classes, improve display of yarn inventory, and buy yarn to create a signature line of unique hand woven items.

Victoria's story

I grew up and attended college in SW Minnesota, where I learned to weave and received my BA in fiber arts. Shortly after graduation, I moved to Colorado and went to work at a fast food franchise office and learned accounting and business bookkeeping, while always having a weaving studio in my home. In 1995, I moved to a job as a yarn store manager. When I had my daughter in 1999, I sold my home in Colorado and moved back to MN near my parents and opened my own yarn store. After 10 years in business, and having limped through the financial crises of 2008, I married a subsistence farmer/artist and moved to help work his small farm. The marriage did not survive my daughter's move to college and a time apart when I was with my parents to help with my dad's hospice. We divorced in 2018 and I moved to Fergus Falls to start over. I have found a very artistic and accepting community and am rapidly building up a fiber arts business here.
