Familia Del Cid Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy fertilizers, supplies, and grain seeds to increase their harvest.

Familia Del Cid Group's story

Doña Maria, 49, is in a civil union. She has five children and lives with her children in the town of Jesús de Otoro, in La Esperanza, in Intibucá. Ten years ago, she learned how to grow basic grains like beans and corn. She sells her harvest in a local shop and through intermediaries.

She wants to increase her harvest and invest more in her crops. Maria is applying for a loan from the group institution, so she can buy fertilizers, supplies, and grain seeds. Her goal is to expand her sales to more locations, so she can increase her profits. With this income, she hopes to make her farm larger and to give a better lifestyle to her children.

The group she belongs to is called Familia de Cid. It's comprised of three people, who all live in the same area and have a lot of experience in agriculture. The loan is for 41,000 lempiras. They will invest this into the maintenance of their farm, fertilization, and more cultivation of basic grains.
