Jestina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy more rice, meat, pepper and other ingredients that will be used to prepare cooked food to sell.

Jestina's story

This is 33-year-old Jestina. She is living together with her partner along with three children, ages between 7 and 15 years. They are schooling and live at home. Jestina went to school until seventh grade.

She runs and operates a business selling cooked food. She has been a trader for eight years, and she considers herself as a hardworking businesswoman. She started this business with some earnings from her partner, and she learned how to sell from her mother. She uses a car to transport supplies to her business site. She likes her business because it gives her profits on every selling day, and she is proud of her business because it has empowered her life greatly.

To maintain her sales, Jestina requested a loan through BRAC Liberia, a Kiva field partner. This loan will be used to buy more rice, meat, pepper and other ingredients that will be used to prepare cooked food to sell to her good clients. She plans to use her profits to help her partner with some household expenses.

In the future, she wants to educate her children and improve her business. She wishes to say thanks.
