Teresita Del Carmen's story

Tesesita, age 41, is an honest, responsible, and very kind woman. She works cleaning houses. Her oldest son gave her the business as a present for Mother's Day. This is so that she will have her own business of selling fruits and vegetables. Teresita sells the most delicious fruits and vegetables in her neighborhood. Her greatest support is her children and her husband. They help her tend to her customers, and they also store the merchandise as it enters the business.

She has chosen a loan from Kiva together with MiCrédito in order to buy watermelon, mangoes, papayas, cassava, tomatoes, corn, pineapple, and other products. In the near future she would like to expand her business and to buy another place to set up another business selling fruits and vegetables. This way she will be able to provide work for other people in her community.
