Hubertine Amélie's story
Born in 1982 in Cotonou, the economic capital of Benin, Ms. K. Hubertine Amélie is married to Mr. SOSSOU Albert, a shipping agent. The couple have four children who are all in school. The family has been residing in the Agla district in Cotonou for eleven years. The couple jointly ensure that family expenses are covered. Hubertine Amélie attended primary school only. To meet the different responsibilities incumbent upon her, she sells cloth and a variety of other goods (rice, cosmetics, etc.) out of her home. She gets her supplies at Dantokpa, the international market of Benin, and has been in this business for fifteen years. She has already obtained two loans, which she has repaid to ALIDé. She would like to augment further her inventory of goods and to respond better to the different needs of her customers. However, she hasn't gathered enough funds for bolstering her business. This is why she's requesting a third loan from ALIDé.
