Zama Zama Group

Leribe High School, Leribe, Leribe, Lesotho / Personal Use

Zama Zama Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase an ACE1 stove to gain access to electricity and save money spent on fuel.

Zama Zama Group's story

Maliako is a 47-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with five other family members, including three children.

Maliako works as a high school teacher but struggles with home improvement and energy expenses. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on electricity, paraffin and gas, which cost up to LSL 560 per month. She also spends as much as an hour per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs.

Maliako and the group in this village bought the ACE1 cook stoves to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also to help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free.

The ACE1 clean cook stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
