Jemusse's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy grains and vegetables from other small farmers to sell in order to increase his family's income.

Jemusse's story

Jemusse is a 46-year-old Mozambican man from Nkhame, a village within Tete Province. Jemusse is married, and he lives with his wife and their six lovely children.

Jemusse is a very hardworking man who runs his medium area of land in Nkhame village. Together with his wife, Jemusse produces a variety of grains, such as maize, and vegetables that he sells to the market. Thanks to this production, Jemusse has been able to take care of his family as well as to send his children to school.

Thanks to free training in business skills, Jemusse has been able to identify a big market where he can sell his entire yield. Since the demand for crops has increased, Jemusse now needs to get more grains and vegetables. He has been challenged by the fact that he does not have enough resources to increase his production, but he fears losing the market.

Since financing for agriculture is almost nonexistent in Nkhame village, Jemusse is requesting a Kiva loan to buy grains and vegetables from other small farmers to sell in order to increase his family's income.
