Good Helper Group's loan finished fundraising, but these other borrowers need your support

A loan helped to buy one roll of bag material, 12 packs of beads and enough thread to weave more than 20 bags for her business.

Good Helper Group's story

Good Helper is a group of four hardworking and diligent ladies who for the past three years have been loyal members of their group. Maudy is 64 years of age. She is a married homeowner taking care of her four grandchildren. She runs a poultry business at her home. She has grown from doing batches of 100 to 150 and this high restocking level has paid off enough to cater for her family needs as well as attend to her husband's medical needs.

As old as she is, she recently joined a weaving club with the help of her other mate Susan who has been making bags for years. They have been recruiting a number of women and conducting workshops for those who are not formally employed, in schools and at local churches The group then applied for a fifth loan and Maudy used her share to buy one roll of material, 12 packs of beads and enough thread to weave more than 20 bags for her business.
