Maria Argentina's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to purchase soil amendments and fertilizers to apply to her coffee crop and pay laborers to weed it.

Maria Argentina's story

María is 45 years old, a single mother, has 3 children, and lives with them in the municipality of Belén Gualcho, Ocotepeque.

For 9 years, she has worked growing coffee. She does this work in an agricultural zone near her house. She sells the yield as wet-processed parchment beans to intermediaries in the zone. Previously, she worked as a tailor.

She wants to invest in her crop and is asking for her fifth loan from the institution, for the amount of 18,000 lempiras, to purchase soil amendments and fertilizers to apply to her coffee crop and pay laborers to weed it. This will help her provide good maintenance to her coffee farm and get better harvests. Her goal is to continue with maintaining her crop, make improvements to her house, and support her children so that they finish their education.
