A loan helped to buy more grocery items for her tuck-shop business and vegetables for her roadside stall.

Push Group's story

Mabel is a 52-year-old mother of two. Her husband is unemployed and they reside in Harare. Mabel initially started with a roadside stall business selling snacks and vegetables to support her family. Mabel managed to open a tuck-shop with the help of Thrive Microfinance loans. Mabel formed a group called Push with her business friends in order to access financial assistance from Thrive.

The group repaid their previous loans very well. Mabel plans to venture into the poultry business in the near future with help of her group members who specialize in raising poultry. Currently, the group applied for their ninth loan and Mabel used her share to buy more grocery items for her tuck-shop business and vegetables for her roadside stall.
