A loan helped to buy additional products for her retail store.

Lama's story

Lama, a 27-year-old lady, is divorced and lives with her parent and child in a Palestinian camp located in the south of Lebanon since she is a Palestinian refugee.

Lama is an employee, and has been employed for two years, from which she is earning a monthly salary. This ambitious young lady established her own retail store one year ago in order to increase her income.

For the first time, Lama is asking for a loan from Ibdaa, a Kiva partner in Lebanon. She needs to buy additional products for her store: canned food, detergent, sweets, souvenirs, gadgets... She does believe that by taking this loan she will be able to meet all her clients' needs, attract more customers and increase her profit.

Lama has an amazing reputation among her clients, neighbors and colleagues. She is known for being generous, friendly and honest. This loan will allow her to save more money, develop her retail store and ameliorate her child's living conditions.
