Kaolack_Dianke Souf/takku Ligguey Group's story

This group is made up of 10 members who have strong relationships of solidarity and support each other. They live in the same village and seized the opportunity of joining the agriculture group during its inauguration in June 2018. They are active in rain-fed agriculture.

Awa, (on the right of the photo with her hand raised), is the group representative. She is 52 years old, married and the mother of 5 boys.

She has been growing peanuts and millet for more than 30 years. She gets her supplies of inputs (seeds, fertilizer and pesticide) in the local, weekly markets then after harvesting, she sells her produce to the state within the partnership linking the government and their producers’ organization.
