Adja Berthe's Group's story

This group of six women belong to a banc villageois that was set up in March 2001. They mainly work in the trade of various products.

Sadio, who is to the right of the photo with her hand raised, is the representative of the group. She is a widow, 50 years old, and mother of four children including a daughter.

She has been developing in this business for several years. With her new loan, she plans to buy lemon juice, palm oil, and baskets of palm nuts which she will resell at the market and through ambulant sales.

The profits will be used to meet daily expenses and help with the education and health of the children.
