A loan helped buy used clothing and purses.

Fatou's Group's story

This banc villageois was founded in December 2014. It is comprised of two brave women who are neighbors. They have a good relationship and share strong ties of solidarity.

They have repaid their previous loans without any issues and are benefiting from a special loan right now. Their main activity is business.

Madame Fatou, the person in charge of the group, is 72 years old. She is standing at the left of the photo with her hand raised. She is a widow and the mother of 11 adult children. Her six daughters also work in business.

Madame Fatou runs a business where she sells used clothing and women's purses. She buys her products from the big suppliers in the capital and resells them out of her home. She has 30 years of experience in this sector.

She wants to pay for 13 purses, a bale of used sheets, and for the transportation of these goods. She wants to sell these items at a good margin. She is doing well thanks to her proven experience.

With the income she earns, she will put some of her savings into the banc villageois and she'll take care of her needs with the rest.
