A.louga Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some chicks and some food.

A.louga Group's story

This group is made up of 29 women who share strong ties of solidarity and who help each other. They live in the same area and have had the opportunity to be part of the banc villageois since it started in the local area in March 2018. Their principal business is poultry farming.

Madame Soukeyna (standing at the far right in the photo with her hand raised) is the group representative. She is a 44-year-old divorced mother with four children, two of which are boys. Her oldest child is 20 years old. She is an experienced poultry farmer who has been in the business for several years.

With this loan, Madame Soukeyna would like to buy some boxes of chicks, along with some food and vaccines. She will raise the chicks for 45 days and will then sell them. The profits she gains will be used towards food since she cares for her children’s daily needs (food, education, clothing) by herself.
