Surmakan is 40 years old, married and raised a son. Surmakan has a secondary, specialized education. She works at a local library. To provide supplemental income for her family, she has been involved in animal husbandry since 1996. Thanks to Surmakan's hard work and her husband's help, today her farm contains two cows, five sheep and two horses. To continue growing her business, Surmakan requested a loan in the amount of 40,000 som (KGS) from the Bai Tushum Bank to buy livestock in order to increase her animal husbandry business income. The profits from the loan will allow Surmakan to expand her business and build a new house.
