Partson's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to start a poultry farming enterprise by buying quality breeds of poultry that will produce good-quality products to sell.

Partson's story

Partson feels very glad to meet Kiva for the first time. He is an easy-going person who is known for his charming nature. Partson is a smallholder farmer who lives in a remote village in Vihiga. Partson is married to a loving wife who helps him farm. He specializes in crop farming and dairy farming. Through farming, he has gained so much recognition in his village which makes him proud.

Though he loves the profits he obtains from selling milk and his crops at his local market, he is not completely satisfied. Partson wants to start a poultry enterprise that will provide him with additional income in order to meet the rising costs of living. He loves poultry, and he’s confident he will earn revenue through selling eggs, chicks, and poultry meat.

Partson was inspired by the efforts of Juhudi Kilimo in alleviating rural poverty through financing enterprising people like him, and he has applied for a loan. Partson also learned that Kiva lenders are able and willing to support him by lending to elevate his living standards. This loan will have a lasting impact on his life and that of his family. Kindly consider this industrious dad.
