Sesilia's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy some mulberry for her tapa making and some pandanus for her weaving, as well as to plow a plantation and pay for home improvement.

Sesilia's story

Meet Sesilia. She's 58 years old and a mother of six children and a grandmother of eight. She's married and they are living together at their owned home.

She applied for her loan from SPBD as her seventh loan cycle. Sesilia is one of the successful women of SPBD. Her businesses are running actively, according to her loan repayments records. She's running her businesses of tapa making, weaving and a plantation. In her tapa making and weaving businesses, she's working at her home alone with only her family helping her because her business is located at her home. In her plantation she's growing yams, taro, sweet potatoes and bananas. In the time of harvesting they sell the products out at the market to earn income, helping her family's living, and it also helps with her loan repayments and her business expenses.

She faces challenges because she does not have employees in her business; she needs to hire some people to help for more productivity. In the future, she has a vision for her businesses to generate some more income to build a better house for her grandchildren and her children, for their comfort and safety.
