Hilda's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!
A loan helped her to buy wheel barrows, knapsack spray, seedlings, and pesticides for farming activities.
Hilda's story
Hilda is a 44-year-old married woman. She has 12 children. The family lives in a rural community outside Honiara, the capital of Solomon Island.
Hilda has a garden where she grows fruits and vegetables that she sells at the market to earn a living. She has been in this business for more than 10 years. She has requested a loan to purchase wheel barrows, knapsack spray, seedlings, and pesticides to make a new garden in order to grow more vegetables and fruits.
Hilda plans to use the profit to meet her family’s daily needs and to pay for her children’s school fees. She joined South Pacific Business Development (SPBD) in 2019, to gain access to financial services, and this is her first loan.
