Toktokan's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy a dairy cow in order to increase her livestock headcount and organic milk sales.

Toktokan's story

Toktokan is 45 years old, a widow and a mother of three children. Toktokan has a secondary education. She works as a custodian at a local school. To provide additional income, she is involved in animal husbandry and farming. Her neighbors call her a happy, honest and hardworking woman. Thanks to Toktokan's hard work, today her farm contains six cows, ten sheep, two horses and 2 hectares of land, where she grows beans. Toktokan has a contract with a local plant to deliver organic milk for further processing into dairy products. This allows Toktokan to continuously invest in her agricultural business. Having learned that she can use her contract as a collateral to obtain a loan from the Bai Tushum Bank under the Value Chain program, Toktokan requested a loan in the amount of 50,000 som (KGS) to buy a dairy cow in order to increase her livestock headcount and milk sales. The payments for the milk from the plant will be deposited directly into Toktokan's bank account, and loan repayments will be automatically debited. The profits from the loan will allow Toktokan to further increase her livestock headcount, improve her family's financial well-being and build a new barn for the livestock.
