Gauze Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to buy and ACE 1 cookstove to save money spent on fuel and to gain access to electricity for extra lighting at night and for charging mobile devices.

Gauze Group's story

Matiisetso is a 35-year-old woman who lives in a multi-bedroom house with four other family members, including two children. Matiisetso is married to a 42-year-old hard-working mine worker, and she relies on her husband's monthly salary but struggles with personal savings. She spends the most amount of her energy expenses on electricity and paraffin, which costs up to LSL 500 per month. She also spends as much as 3 hours per day gathering fuel.

Matiisetso and the group in this village bought the ACE 1 cookstove to help them save the money they spent every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices anytime for free. The ACE 1 clean cookstove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE 1 cookstove, please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
