Malenakana Group's loan finished fundraising,
but these similar borrowers just need a little more help to reach their goals!

A loan helped to save money spent on fuel to use the ACE 1 cook stove to gain access to electricity for extra lighting at night and for charging a mobile device.

Malenakana Group's story

Nko is a 76-year-old man who lives in a multi-bedroom house, without access to electricity, with three other family members, including one child. He works as a farmer but struggles with personal savings and life cover. He spends most of his energy expenses on candles, cooking gas, and paraffin, which costs up to M288 per month. He also spends as much as four hours per day gathering fuel and fulfilling other energy needs like phone charging.

Nko and the group in this village bought the ACE 1 cook stove to help them save the money they spend every month on fuel and also help them access solar electricity for charging their mobile devices any time for free. The ACE 1 clean cook stove is biomass and solar powered. For more information on the ACE1 cook stove please visit www.africancleanenergy.com and Facebook @African Clean Energy.
